Currently, our state is suffering from a two-thirds super majority in the Nevada State Assembly. The 2010 election represents the best opportunity to help Nevada move in the right direction, with the most promising race taking place in Assembly District 5.
Tim Williams Is The Best Choice For Assembly District 5.
For two years, the incumbent in the district has voted lock-step with one party, neglecting issues that matter most to you and your neighbors. Legislation passed by the incumbent has increased unemployment, added taxes, jeopardized health care, and cut education. We cannot afford to increase taxes and reduce services any longer.
Tim Williams represents the right direction. He has walked the district three times and invites anyone, regardless of political party, to call him with concerns, ideas, and questions. He believes like you do that the priorities for Nevada include:
• Helping businesses hire more employees and putting Nevadans to work again.
• Passing balanced budgets without the need for costly special sessions to fix shortfalls.
• Improving education to attract more opportunities and higher paying jobs to Nevada.
• Protecting health care to help Nevadans in need while preserving your medical choices.
Why It is Important To Dismiss Hate Mailers Against Tim Williams.
Tim Williams has run a clean race, focusing on the record and issues that matter the most in Assembly District 5. The opposition supporting the incumbent has attempted to malign Williams' character by literally making up accusations to frighten people. Here is the truth. • Tim Williams stood up to mailers that exploited the victims of rape. He believes we need tougher penalties in Nevada.
• Tim Williams stands by local fire and police, believing that Nevada needs to do a better job prioritizing critical services in Nevada, along with education.
• Tim Williams sides with you and your doctors when it comes to issues related to health care. Currently, some doctors in Nevada pay malpractice costs that are equal to 80 percent of their salaries.
• Tim Williams does not support public health care as currently crafted, which recently prompted the opposition to say he wants to cut health care for women and children. This is not true. Like many of your neighbors, he believes we need to find ways to provide medical care to those in need without forcing everyone into an expansive federal government-run bureaucracy.
Tim Williams Is Our Best Chance To Put People Before Politics.
